Dr Deng is passionate about general practice and holistic health care. Her special interests are in mental health, complex medical care and women’s health. She enjoys patient centred care where optimising the patient’s health and wellbeing are the top priorities.
Idy has her FPS certification which allows her to provide extensive counselling sessions. Her special interest mental health areas include trauma therapy, depression/anxiety and professional coaching. She is also tri-lingual allowing her to consult in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Dr Deng was previously a B Commerce and B Psychology graduate from the University of Sydney before completing her medical degree at University of Newcastle. She completed her internship and residency at Bankstown/Campbeltown/St Vincent’s Hospitals.
When she is not working or studying she enjoys hiking, scuba diving and indoor rock climbing. She especially enjoys hiking with her two daughters to the local swimming holes.
Dr Deng is a private billing doctor, and is available by appointment Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and some Fridays.
