We’re delighted to announce that our newest DMC doctor, Dr Kulathevy Tewari, will be commencing at DMC next Monday 29th August.
Dr Kulathevy Tewari will be available by appointment at DMC on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and some Saturdays.
Dr Tewari is a private billing doctor and an independent practitioner at DMC. She completed her medical degree at Western Sydney University where she graduated in 2013. She then completed her hospital training at Royal North Shore Hospital before working as a medical registrar for a few years within that local health network which exposed her to many specialities including Emergency Medicine, Aged Care, Haematology, Cardiology and Renal Medicine.
After taking a year off full time work to travel and live overseas, Kulathevy began her career in General Practice in 2019. She enjoys meeting new patients and working with them to optimise their quality of life.
Dr Tewari has completed additional training in paediatrics (Sydney Children’s Health Program), mental health counselling (Focused Psychological Strategies) and is also trained to insert and remove Implanon (hormonal implant). She currently also works as a medical educator with GP Synergy, the regional training organisation for NSW/ACT GPs.
In her spare time, Kulathevy enjoys practicing yoga & pilates, reading and painting. She is fluent in Tamil and working on her French.
